About the Concert

On November 16th, Creatives Care was honored to be a part of an unforgettable performance as the World Doctors Orchestra brought together physicians and musicians from around the globe for a spectacular afternoon in New York City at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.

Featuring celebrated conductor Joseph Alessi, violinist Charlie Siem, and pianist Richard Kogan, the concert showcased an inspiring program of classical and jazz-infused masterpieces.

Proceeds were donated to Creatives Care to support our mission of connecting artists with quality mental health care from clinicians who understand the unique challenges of creative life.

About the Collaboration

The World Doctors Orchestra (WDO) unites physicians from across the world who share a passion for both music and humanitarian efforts. Founded on the belief that music and medicine can work together to heal and inspire, WDO regularly performs benefit concerts that raise funds for important charitable causes.

For its 48th concert session, the orchestra performed in the iconic Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, bringing together world-class musicians for a performance that blends classical brilliance with the vibrant energy of jazz and Broadway.

They performed an exhilarating program featuring a mix of orchestral brilliance, jazz-infused melodies, and Broadway’s iconic rhythms:

  • Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov – Capriccio espagnol, op. 34

  • Erich Wolfgang Korngold – Violin Concerto in D major, op. 35 (Soloist: Charlie Siem)

  • George Gershwin – Rhapsody in Blue (Soloist: Richard Kogan, piano)

  • Leonard Bernstein – Symphonic Dances from West Side Story
